Get App

Google Calendar is a calendar app for mobile devices. It was developed by Google and is free to download on Android and iOS. The app offers deep integration with Gmail, events planning, and many other features. It is one of the most popular calendar apps with over a billion downloads in Google Play.

Features: An Essential Calendar

This app in its core is a simple interactive calendar. However, if things were that simple, we wouldn’t have created this Google Calendar review: the app has lots of mini-features, making it one of the best calendars for smartphones available.

First of all, it is deeply integrated with Gmail. You can instantly create interactive notes directly from your inbox letters. There is even an option to configure automatic event creation: if you buy an airplane ticket and receive a receipt to your Gmail, for example, it will be automatically added to the calendar.

You can also set goals, create to-do lists, and even synchronize with other calendar apps on your phone.

Design, Interface & Usability: Simple and Smart

The design of Google Calendar is great: it is very user-friendly and intuitive. You will instantly figure out how to manage it and all its features. The only thing that may take some time is the proper configuration of automatic events, but it is more about trying different options and selecting the preferred ones. The interface is very functional and not overloaded at all, making it comfortable to check the calendar and create new notes.

Platforms & Requirements: Super Compatible

The app is pretty light as it only displays the event notes in the calendar and synchronizes with other calendars. It does not require much power from your phone and does not significantly discharge the battery. There are no specific requirements for the Android system version, but most of the smartphones are supported, even the budget ones. With Apple devices you will have to install iOS 12.0 or later.

In Conclusion

To sum up, Google Calendar is a great tool to keep your daily activities and track your plans for the nearest future. It is very user friendly and functional, having a simple design with several great features. The integration with Gmail will save you lots of time on creating manual entries in the calendar and the synchronization feature will help you to transfer the entries from other apps.

The Best Part of It:

  • Deep integration with Gmail;

  • Synchronization with other calendar apps;

  • Great user interface.

The Worst Part of It:

  1. Some users do not enjoy the widget you can create with Google Calendar.
