This announcement reveals that the new season of the skating game is set to deliver an enhanced social experience while embracing the vibrant energy of 1980s skating culture. Players can now look forward to a fresh round of challenges and improved ways to interact with friends.
Season two, titled Future Radical, will introduce several exciting additions. New areas for skating, extra obstacles, enhanced social coordination tools, a brand new game mode, increased cosmetic options, and various seasonal events—one celebrating winter and another welcoming spring—are all on the horizon.
One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of the new… Own the Lot mode. In this team-based challenge, groups of players work together to complete a series of collaborative objectives within a set time frame. The rewards grow as more challenges are successfully accomplished.
Additional social improvements include an integrated party chat system and the ability to drop beacons to join or form groups in-game. Enhancements to the Replay Editor now offer an Advanced Editor mode for capturing more dynamic clips. Furthermore, trick options will expand with the introduction of handplants, and new skateable zones such as the Casper Hotel top deck, under-road tunnel, building terrace, and… Canal Buildings will remain accessible even after season two concludes.
A visual update accompanies the season, featuring improved lighting, more realistic pedestrian behaviors, additional hairstyles, and a broader range of cosmetic choices. The update also paves the way for a new Skate.Pass as well as more purchasable cosmetics, including collaborations with notable real-world brands like Adidas, Scifi, Ricta, and OJ.
The soundtrack is set to get an upgrade too, with tracks from bands such as Motorhead, Public Enemy, The Bombay Royale, and many others further immersing players in the game’s authentic atmosphere.
